THE WORKSHOP

The workshop-boutique serves a dual purpose. Firstly, it is a showcase for the season's collections, along with Panama and one-of-a-kind hats. In the back is the workshop where the hats are designed and crafted. Amid the sketches, hat blocks and precious fabrics, Mélanie, alias La Chapelière - which means "the hat maker" - combines traditional know-how with her own personal flair, using old-fashioned techniques such as steam. She works with volume seeking out most stylish contours while playing with and reinventing accessory materials. Read more
